Prime Video will allow volume increase only for dialogues

A common problem in streaming and even movies is that many users point out that they hear more of the ambient audio than the dialogues of their favorite series and movies. Amazon Prime Video wants to get it over with.

Starting in the following weeks, an option will arrive for subscribers that will allow to turn up the volume only to conversations in productions.

What a blessing

The tool has been named Dialogue Boost and will allow you to increase the volume of the conversation relative to other sounds.

In order to select it, it will only be necessary to touch the speaker icon in the middle of our player. Two options will appear there: Dialogue Boost Medium or High.

The technology is based on artificial intelligence and works by isolating the audio and enhancing the volume of speech in any scene, also lowering the phono sound or accompanying music.

Dialogue Boost also wants to be an aid for people who suffer from hearing problems, helping them to better enjoy the contents of the platform.

Will it work for all Prime Video series and movies?

For the time being, the feature is only available for original content from Amazon and in English.

Some productions are “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” and “Harlem” or “The Big Sick”, “Being the Ricardos” and “Beautiful Boy”.

Prime Video expects to continue expanding the catalog available with this feature so far this year.
