YouTube Premium adds new video playback quality for iOS and not for Android

YouTube Premium has unveiled new features for all its subscribers, but they’ve also noticed a big difference: some only appear for iOS and it doesn’t stop Android.

The main one is the arrival of a better video quality with a resolution of 1080p with better bit rate. However, this feature to be exclusive to those who own an iPhone or iPad.

Better quality for iOS

The new video viewing option is called 1080p premium.

According to GoogleThe “enhanced bit rate” improvement allows videos to look “sharper and clearer”, which will allow videos to be appreciated with “better detail and motion”.

This new video quality option is available alongside the standard 1080p video quality option, but only in apps iOS y iPadOS from YouTube.

But will this function reach Android? According to GoogleThis will be soon, although there is no further information on dates or details.

Changes in Premium

For premium users on cell phones and tablets, YouTube adds the feature of being able to alter the playback queue, allowing you to choose which videos will be played immediately.

Premium members can host Google Meet sessions where all attendees, regardless of whether they are paid or free users, can watch videos from YouTube together.

Likewise, it also allows you to download videos for offline viewing.
