Syberia will receive an animated series

Microids and the production company What the Prod announced today that they are working on a animated series by Syberia.
According to what was revealed in a press release, both companies will work to ensure that the Syberia adaptation reaches the expectations of fans of the franchise and animated TV series for young adults, such as Arcane: A League of Legends Story by Riot Games and Netflix.
“It is a real pleasure to see Syberia come to life in an animated format. We are delighted to partner with What the Prod to offer Syberia fans a fantastic visual experience that perfectly captures the soul of this iconic franchise. This series will be a new opportunity for gamers and new viewers to discover or re-discover the fascinating world of Syberia,” commented Elliot Grassiano, COO of Microids.
“My husband would have been honored to witness the development of his work as an animated series. With Syberia, he has created a magical, out-of-time world, and I am delighted that he will reach a new audience with this new adaptation,” added Martine Sokal, wife of Benoit Sokal.
“Twenty years after the release of the first chapter of Syberia, our ambition is to make an animated series inspired by the game’s incredible universe that speaks to fans and new players through a modern writing style that pays homage to the best dystopian and uchronic masterpieces. The art direction, type and quality of animation will ensure a mind-blowing experience somewhere between reality and fantasy,” concluded Ashragin Poire, president and founder of What the Prod.
