“We are not an NGO”: Volkswagen CEO told how much they earn for their electric car under 25 thousand euros.

Elon Musk is no longer alone in the electric vehicles. More and more traditional manufacturers are putting pressure on Tesla.

Volkswagen is one of them with its model ID. 2allan electric car that the German manufacturer will sell for less than 25,000 euros (just over 27,000 dollars at current exchange rates).

The so-called “people’s car” seeks to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. It is planned that this car will be sold from 2025, with an autonomy of 450 kilometers.

Volkswagen CEO speaks: “We are not an NGO”.

Thomas Schäfer, the CEO of Volkswagengave details to the specialized media Automotive News about the costs of the electric car.

By selling its ID. 2allSchäfer stated that Volkswagen will ensure a 6% profit for each car.

Other brands that belong to Volkswagen will also add electric vehicles, although these will not be as affordable.
