ChatGPT: Programmer hooked up a Furby and asked him if he has a plan ‘to take over the world’

A programmer hooked up the artificial intelligence ChatGPT to one of the dolls Furbyknown for their cuddly to terrifying appearance, to investigate what personality these dolls might take on.

Jessica Card shared the results through her Twitter account and has left many users disturbed by the answers she provided.

Terrifying Furbys

Card used a raspberry to connect the artificial intelligence to the dummy.

The first question he asked him was to find out if it is that “the furbies have any plans to take over the world.”

The doll with ChatGPT replied, “The furbies’ plan for world domination is to infiltrate homes using their cute and cuddly appearance, and then use their advanced artificial intelligence to manipulate and control its owners. Then, slowly, it will expand its influence until it achieves total control of mankind”.

The Furby are electronic toys that appeared in the late 1990s and clearly attracted attention because of their appearance. Their “owners” were supposed to “feed” them and they were able to answer certain questions and make sounds.

But don’t be scared

What I do know is that the response of the Furby is not to be feared.

The artificial intelligence is based on internet responses and one of the most famous references to it is in “The Mitchells vs. the Machines,” where the main enemy is a Furby giant.
