Lazio consolidates second spot in Serie A, Roma heads to Rotterdam with good feelings

NOS Soccer–
Lazio cemented its second spot in Serie A by winning 2-1 at home against Juventus.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic made it 1-0 for the Romans, who were bowled out of the Conference League by AZ in March. The Serb tapped in on a pass from Mattia Zaccagni. Shortly after, Adrien Rabiot made it 1-1. From a corner kick he somewhat fortuitously crammed the ball into the goal.
Just after halftime, Zaccagni shot Lazio back into the lead and not much later he thought he would decide the encounter. However, his second goal was disallowed for offside. In the closing stages, Federico Chiesa was very dangerous a few more times, but the 2-2 would not go in.
Roma with win in pocket to Feyenoord
AS Roma won the last league game before meeting Feyenoord in the quarterfinals of the Europa League. Coach José Mourinho’s team triumphed at Torino: 0-1.
Former Ajacied Perr Schuurs was behind Torino’s defeat. The defender, after a shot by Poland’s Nicola Zalewski, made hands in the penalty area in the seventh minute. Argentine Paulo Dybala exploited the penalty.
Former Feyenoord player Georginio Wijnaldum played the entire match at AS Roma, which climbed to third place and remains in the race for participation in the Champions League next season. The winner of the Europa League also qualifies for the Champions League.
Feyenoord and AS Roma kick off at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. A week later at 9 p.m. is the return game in Italy.
