This artificial intelligence appears to be limited to interacting in Chinese, as reported by Bloomberg.

Alibaba will have to overcome a bad precedent

Baidu, considered the “Chinese Google“, did not get off to a good start with the artificial intelligence.

Ernie Bot, Baidu’s response to ChatGPTwas presented in March.

The competitor to the product of OpenAI disappointed after a one-hour presentation.

“It seems like the presentation was more of a scripted monologue. It was not the interactive session people were expecting. There was also no approximate release date,” said Kai Wang, an analyst at Morningstar.

The stumble caused Baidu lose $3 billion in stock market valuation.
