NOS News–
Cybercriminals have broken into the KNVB’s ICT network. The soccer association reports this on its website. The burglars captured personal data of employees. What kind of data is involved is now being investigated.
According to the KNVB, the criminals did not gain access to e-mail traffic and primary business operations can continue as usual. The cyber intrusion does not affect the soccer league. The leak was reported by the soccer association to the Personal Data Authority.
What consequences the breach has for employees the KNVB cannot yet say. Because the investigation is still ongoing, the association cannot yet make any further statements about the break-in.
