Tottenham puts coach Conte on the street after it set collision course

Antonio Conte is no longer coach of Tottenham Hotspur. The club reports that “after mutual agreement” it has been decided to part ways.

The 53-year-old Conte succeeded Nuno Espírito Santo in November 2021 and led Tottenham to fourth place in the Premier League. The Spurs, who were stranded in the Champions League and FA Cup this month, are also now fourth in England.

The Italian appeared to be on a collision course with the club. He recently called his players “selfish” and lashed out at the owner and the club’s culture.

Cristian Stellini will finish the season at the Spurs, with Ryan Mason as assistant.
