“We worry a lot about authoritarian governments developing this,” he indicated.
ABC reminded Altman a quote from Vladimir Putin in 2017, asserting that whoever leads the artificial intelligence race would dominate the world. “This is the chilling statement,” mused the CEO of OpenAI.
Disinformation campaigns and cyber-attacks could be carried out more easily with artificial intelligence, he mused.
Regarding concerns about the artificial intelligence replacing jobs, Altman asked that people think of it as a tool, not a replacement.
