Winning NAC does not yet know if it is period champion, another big defeat Den Bosch

NOS Football–
NAC Breda secured the lead in the third period of the first division through a home victory over MVV (4-1). Because Almere City was not in action tonight due to snowfall, the battle for the period title has not yet been decided, whereas it was meant to be.
Almere City was supposed to play tonight at home against Jong FC Utrecht. It is not yet known when that match will be made up. Almere City must win to capture the period title, which entitles them to playoffs for promotion to the premier league.
All other matches did go ahead. FC Den Bosch, which suffered a record defeat against PEC Zwolle (13-0) last week, went down hard again. VVV-Venlo won 4-0 at home.
Leaders PEC Zwolle recorded a 2-1 victory over Willem II. Number two Heracles Almelo won 2-0 against Jong AZ.

At NAC Breda, Elías Már Ómarsson was the big man with three goals. The Icelander, acquired in January, brought NAC into the lead after more than twenty minutes.
Ruben van Bommel evened the score just under fifteen minutes in. The pleasure was short-lived for MVV. Just before halftime, Jort van der Sande and Omarsson brought the difference to two goals. In the 86th minute, the Icelander provided the final chord (4-1).
