The messaging app Snapchat has announced the launch of My AI, a new ‘chatbot’ running the latest version of technology. ChatGPT from OpenAI and which you have customized for your platform.
ChatGPT is a technology trained to hold a conversation in text that is based on the GPT 3.5 language model and has the ability to generate and link concepts and ideas, as well as to recall conversations.
Subscriber testing
The social network has now commented that it has made available to subscribers of Snapchat+ an experimental functionality calleda My AIwhich executes ChatGPT and which will be launched this week. It is a technology that can “recommend gift ideas, plan a hiking trip or suggest dinner recipes.”
Snapchat has indicated that it can be attributed a name and customize the ‘chat’ wallpaper and has advertently stated that “like all AI ‘chatbots’, My AI Is prone to hallucinations and can be tricked into saying anything.”
On the other hand, the company has indicated that all conversations with this AI will be stored and can be reviewed to improve the product experience, so it has recommended not to share secrets with it “or trust its advice.”
With that, it has acknowledged that, although this technology is designed to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful or misleading information, errors may occur.(Europa Press)
