Steve Wozniakthe co-founder of Apple lashed out at Elon Musk calling him ‘dishonest’ and for trying to be ‘a cult leader’.
In conversations with CNBCWozniak said that Musk is very similar to Steve Jobs when he tries to convince people to believe in his products, but with noticeable differences.
Cult leaders
“I put them in the category of having the ability to communicate, because you also want to be seen as the most important person and be like a cult leader,” mentions Wozniak, who in turn puts the Tesla mogul one step below. “A lot of people will follow them no matter what they say.”
Wozniak himself also compared himself to Musk, marking a total difference: honesty.
“My life has been based on total honesty. Everything you say is totally honest. You don’t hide anything. You don’t make things up. You don’t make yourself look better. And a lot of that honesty disappears when you look at Elon Musk and Tesla,” he adds.
In 2018, Wozniak also noted that he “doesn’t believe any of what he Elon Musk or Tesla say” after images in which the company showed its cars in quasi-automated driving.
“I’ve been robbed.”
Steve Wozniak has assured that “Elon Musk and Tesla stole money from his family” after they had purchased a car in 2016 from this brand, under the belief that their unit would eventually drive itself across the country, a promise Musk made to all his buyers.
