Vitesse won 6-0 at home in the premier league against already relegated FC Groningen. Led by standout Million Manhoef, Vitesse’s long-running struggle against the nacompetition ghost thus climbed from thirteenth to twelfth place.
Manhoef shot Vitesse to 1-0 early on after a cross from Kacper Kozlowski. The Pole was still in front because of a previous attack and received the ball by mistake from Groninger Tomas Suslov.

Aalvlug Manhoef was floored on the stroke of halftime by goalkeeper Peter Leeuwenburgh, who received a red card. substitute Jan de Boer had no answer to Melle Meulensteen’s blast: 2-0.
