Injured Martínez will not return to action this season

NOS Soccer–
Manchester United will have to do without Lisandro Martínez for the rest of the season. The defender (25) has undergone surgery for a fractured metatarsal.
The Argentine, who has made 45 appearances for coach Erik ten Hag’s team this season, was injured in the first game with Sevilla in the Europa League last week.
Manchester United is still competing for prizes on several fronts. Although the chances of winning the national title as the current number three are minimal, the club can qualify for Champions League soccer via the Premier League. United is also still competing in the FA Cup (semifinals) as well as Europa League (quarterfinals).
Already won two prizes
Martínez, acquired from Ajax last year, already won the League Cup this season and became world champion with Argentina in December. During the World Cup in Qatar, he played five of the seven matches for his country.
