Caitlin Dijkstra is making a transfer. The 24-year-old Oranje international, who is preparing for the World Cup with the Dutch national team, is transferring from FC Twente to top club VfL Wolfsburg.

But the defender can just be seen on Dutch fields for now, as the German losing finalist of the Champions League leases Dijkstra to her old employer next season.

“I have never made it a secret that I would like to make another move to a top foreign club, but I don’t want my development to come to a standstill. Fortunately, Wolfsburg is a club that feels the same way about this. The plan for the future feels good and I am happy with the confidence I am getting,” the player said.
