Blind and Reijnders drop out of selection Oranje for Nations League

NOS Football–
Daley Blind and Tijjani Reijnders have been dropped from Oranje’s final selection for the Nations League. The two are on standby for the tournament, however, should other players become injured or ill.
National coach Ronald Koeman announced his 23-man selection on Monday night. It was announced earlier in the day that Memphis Depay will be unable to play due to injury.

With the choice of Blind and Reijnders, Koeman drops his most and least experienced player from the previous 26-man selection. 101-time international Blind barely got to play at Bayern Munich last year. The 33-year-old defender played his last of only four league matches in German service on March 11.
Reijnders was guaranteed a starting place at AZ this season. The 24-year-old midfielder belonged to the Oranje selection for the first time.
Sixteen players on training pitch
With sixteen players, the Oranje trained in Zeist for the first time today, ahead of the Final Four of the Nations League. They will also train for the next two days, followed by two days off.
Some players from foreign clubs do not join until Saturday, June 10. Denzel Dumfries (Inter) and Nathan Aké (Man City) are still playing the Champions League final on Saturday night and will then be the last to join the Oranje squad.
On Wednesday, June 14, the Orange will play Croatia in the semifinals at De Kuip. Up to and including that game, Blind and Reijnders will continue to train, so they can join the group immediately in case of injuries.
In the other semifinal in Enschede, Spain and Italy face each other. On Sunday, the match for third place and the final will be played.
