Sesé Group strengthens its position in the USA with a Volkswagen vehicle production plant in Tennessee

The Sesé group gains a foothold in the U.S. thanks to its partnership with Volkswagen, an automobile manufacturer, according to Heraldo de Aragón. The Aragonese company has been working for a year in a production plant in the town of Chattanooga, in the state of Tennesee. Its main task is based on the assembly of axles for an electric and a hybrid model of the Teutonic brand.
For this center, a 40 million investment 40 million, allowing 1,300,000 assemblies per year, which translates into 325,000 vehicles. This plant is thus made up of a team of more than 400 people who coordinate more than 100 suppliers and manage more than 360 subcomponents.

It is made up of technology and Industry 4.0 and has 28,000 square meters, four production lines and 16 automatic robots. All of this is used for the manufacture of the ID-4 and Atlas models of the German brand.
“This project has made it possible to consolidate Sesé’s position as a strategic partner for the automotive industry, as well as our ability to successfully develop a comprehensive project and carry it through from start to finish,” detailed Araceli Carrasco, CEO of Sesé in the USA.
