Women of Feyenoord and PEC gain little with draw

In the women’s premier league, Feyenoord and PEC Zwolle played to a draw. The match was 1-1 at Varkenoord in Rotterdam. The draw means that neither team can connect with the sub-top.

PSV, which plays VV Alkmaar later this weekend, and ADO Den Haag, which takes on Telstar on Sunday, can catch up to Feyenoord and PEC.

The Rotterdam crowd was not entertained in the first half. Few chances were created and no goals were scored.

In the second half, the viewing game was more entertaining and goals were scored. Just under twenty minutes after the break Esmee de Graaf shot on behalf of Feyenoord from a corner. Six minutes later PEC got a penalty that was scored by Danique Noordman.

The battle for the title could be decided Saturday in a direct duel (4 p.m.) between the two contenders FC Twente and Ajax. Ajax, currently in second place, will play at home. The game can be followed live on NPO 1 and via NOS.nl.
