Twisted Metal, released the first poster of the live-action TV series

IGN exclusively released this afternoon the first poster of the live-action TV series of Twisted Metal produced by Sony and coming soon.

The poster, which can be seen in the tweet at the bottom of the news story, shows the series logo along with the classic John Doe van, as well as Anthony Mackie, the actor who precisely plays the protagonist of Twisted Metal, in a car apparently colored pink. While there are no exact details on the series’ release date, IGN had said it would arrive on Peacock on July 27, information later removed from the original article.

The Twisted Metal series is made by Peacock and stars Anthony Mackie as John Doe, a driver who hauls supplies between settlements in a post-apocalyptic America. He has no memory of his past, but has a chance for a better life by making a special delivery across a dangerous landscape.

Other characters include Sweet Tooth, who will be voiced by Will Arnett and played by professional wrestler Samoa Joe. The cast also includes Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Richard Cabral, Tahj Vaughans, and Neve Campbell. The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions and is the second TV adaptation of a first-party PlayStation game to arrive this year after The Last of Us.
