Real wins easily, day before topper between Barcelona and Atlético

NOS Soccer–
Real Madrid made no mistake in the 30th round of play in the Spanish league. The Royal won 2-0 at home over Celta de Vigo and is now eight points behind leaders Barcelona, who host Atlético Madrid on Sunday.
Barcelona still has a wide margin on number two Real, but did see that lead shrink four points in recent weeks due to two draws.
Another points loss in the topper against Atlético, third in the rankings, could make for another exciting few weeks for Frenkie de Jong’s team.
There was little to enjoy in the first half. Real had the upper hand, but hardly managed to become really dangerous. Just before halftime, however, it became 1-0. After fine work by Vinícius Júnior, Marco Asensio shot the goal.
Shortly after halftime, Militão doubled the margin by heading in from a corner by Asensio. Real calmly went in search of more goals, but did not find any, giving Carlo Ancelotti’s team its fourth consecutive 2-0 win.
