Russian intelligence detains in Kherson an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced on Friday the. arrest in the Ukrainian region of Kherson of an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine. (SBU) and his deputy for allegedly gathering information about the Russian Army.
According to the FSB, the detainees had collected information on the locations and number of units of the Armed Forces. of Russia in the Kherson region, which were later sent to the Ukrainian special services, Interfax agency reports.
After receiving this information, the SBU reportedly transferred it to representatives of Ukrainian paramilitary formations “for the purpose of correcting artillery, missile and bomb attacks on positions of the Russian Armed Forces.”
Thus, both detainees could now face criminal prosecution for violating the article of the Russian Criminal Code concerning espionage. For the time being they are remanded in custody and both could face sentences of up to 20 years in prison.
