Vitesse closes deal with stadium owner and secures license

NOS Football–
Vitesse has finally reached an agreement with Gelredome owner Nedstede on a lease for the stadium until the autumn of 2030. Thanks to the agreement, all legal proceedings are now off the table.
“There is now finally clarity and therefore peace around this file, also in the context of the license conditions,” Vitesse’s general director ad interim Peter Rovers responded.
The Arnhem club was in danger of losing its license due to the long-running conflict with the stadium owner. Vitesse felt that the current rent of over 2 million euros per year was not only too high, but also not in line with the market.
Soccer association KNVB wanted to know by April 11 where the club would play its home matches next season. On Tuesday night, Rovers already let it be known that he was confident a new lease would be in place soon.
