Arsenal recorded a convincing victory in the Premier League over swaggering Crystal Palace. The leaders triumphed 4-1 at home.

Palace, which has not won 12 league games in a row and fired coach Patrick Vieira earlier this week, still had the first chance, but Zaha hit the post.

Arsenal then took control and Gabriel Martinelli (diagonal shot) and Bukayo Saka (low slider) scored.

Second goal Saka

After halftime, Granit Xhaka made it 3-0 after a nice pass from Leandro Trossard. Jeffrey Schlupp still did something back for the visitors (the first goal for Palace since Feb. 18), but not much later Saka beautifully fired in the 4-1.

Arsenal is eight points ahead of chasing Manchester City, which did play one less game.
