Lance Reddick, movie star and voice actor in Destiny and Horizon, has died at age 60

Lance Reddick, an American actor known for his roles in the TV series The Wire and the John Wick films, as well as voice actor for video game characters such as Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, and Commander Zavala in the Destiny series, has died at the age of 60.

First to break the news was the website TMZ, which cites statements from law enforcement officials. According to local police, Lance’s body was reportedly discovered in his Studio City home late this afternoon Italian time. The cause of death is not yet clear, but Reddick would appear to have passed away from natural causes.

Reddick was involved in a tour for the release of the fourth John Wick film, in which he plays the character Charon. However, Reddick did not attend the premiere of the film in New York and, as reported by TMZ, posted on social media a video from home with his dogs with no explanation for his absence.

As mentioned, in addition to having had roles in well-known movies and TV series, Reddick has been a voice actor for several characters in the world of video games. Most recently, Reddick also participated in the Netflix TV series of Resident Evil. Lance had several unreleased projects in the works: he was to take on the role of the Greek god Zeus in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympian Gods.
