After Ronaldo, Messi also reaches magic milestone of 700 club goals

NOS Soccer–
Lionel Messi has not made history for the first time in his career. The 35-year-old Argentine scored the 700th club goal of his career on behalf of Paris Saint-Germain against Olympique de Marseille (0-3 win).
In the French classic, “Le Classique,” Kylian Mbappé put the Paris club into the lead on Messi’s cross, and after a fine cross from Mbappé, Messi tapped in the 0-2 from close range. The Messi-Mbappé tandem was also responsible for the third goal, with a subtle pass from Messi and a volley from Mbappé.
The 0-2 was Messi’s 28th goal for PSG and including his 672 goals for FC Barcelona the 700th club goal in total. Under coach Frank Rijkaard, Messi scored his first ever club goal on behalf of Barcelona in the league game with Albacete on May 1, 2005.
Ronaldo
The milestone of 700 club goals is not entirely unique. Cristiano Ronaldo reached 700 club goals on October 9 last year on behalf of Manchester United with a goal against Everton. Meanwhile, the Portuguese from Al-Nassr stands at 709.
