The Last of Us, the first episode of the HBO TV series will last 85 minutes

There is little time left until the start of the TV series of The Last of Us produced by HBO, and anticipation among fans is really through the roof. In between rumors, in the last few hours HBO Latino programming has revealed how long the first episode of the series will last, and it won’t be short.
According to what DomTheBomb reported on Twitter, the first episode of The Last of Us will be a full 85 minutes long. It will therefore be a film of sorts, which will most likely be an introduction to the rest of the events of the series. For an hour and 25 minutes, then, we will be glued to the screen trying to understand how HBO and its staff have adapted Naughty Dog’s grandiose home game.
The story of The Last of Us takes place 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization. Joel, a cunning survivor, is tasked with getting Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of a quarantine zone under tight security. A seemingly easy task that soon turns into a brutal and harrowing journey, as the two will find themselves crossing the United States together and depending on each other to survive. The series creators and executive producers are Craig Mazin, Emmy winner for Chernobyl, and Neil Druckmann, creator of the original video game.
The Last of Us TV series will be broadcast in Italy from January 16, 2023 exclusively on Sky and streamed only on Now, the pay TV operator’s online platform. The series will run for nine episodes.
