7.5 million euros injected to renovate the restaurant and hotel
The casino of Vals-les-Bains, owned and operated by the Circus group – a subsidiary of the Belgian company Gaming1 – will be embellished very soon. Indeed, Circus France has announced that it has launched a global renovation project with an estimated cost of 17 million euros. The objective: to enlarge the premises and give a new look to the restaurant and the hotel adjacent to the casino. Here’s how it works.
Casino Circus de Vals-les-Bains : a big renovation project on the agenda
The casino of Vals-les-Bains, managed and operated by the Circus group, beneficiary of a public service delegation until 2042, will soon be modernized. Indeed, Circus has announced its desire to renovate the premises almost entirely; the budget for this project is estimated at 17 million euros. A few months ago, the casino had announced that it wanted to invest to move forward.
Circus France, which owns nine casinos and gaming clubs (in Allevard, Balaruc-les-Bains, Barbotan, Briançon, Carnac, Leucate, Paris, Vals-les-Bains and Crans Montana, Switzerland, respectively), also owns no less than two hotels, nine restaurants and seven function rooms.
Today, the company’s priority is to offer a facelift to the complex of Vals-les-Bains, in Ardèche. Indeed, Circus France intends to invest some 7.5 million euros just for the restaurant Le Vivarais and the hotel Helvie.
The former will soon be equipped with a grocery corner, a wine cellar that can be visited, an open kitchen and a gastronomic table d’hôtes. As for the hotel, it will be completely renovated and the top two floors – currently condemned – will be rehabilitated. In addition, the hotel will change its name due to its affiliation with an international hotel chain.
A significant amount of money earmarked for outdoor facilities
In addition to the restaurant and hotel, the outdoor facilities will also be completely revamped. While a covered terrace and a private parking lot will be created, the casino’s relaxation area, swimming pool, garden and herbal tea room will be updated. The entire project will require some three years of workwhich will be carried out in six-month phases in order to maintain the casino’s seasonal activity.
It should be noted that just a few days ago, the Vals-les-Bains casino, whose summer season was deemed very satisfactory by management, put players on a pedestal. Indeed, on August 1, all the casino’s gaming rooms paid out €83,879.59 in cumulative winnings to players from all walks of life, which is a record since the launch of the new facilities and the arrival of Circus France in Vals-les-Bains in March 2020.
