AZ imposes 43 stadium bans due to riots

NOS News–
AZ has imposed stadium bans on 43 rioters. The Alkmaar club reports this on its website. It was announced yesterday that a total of eleven supporters were arrested for last week’s riots at the AFAS Stadium.
In the TV program Detection Wanted footage was shown of the rioters. After that broadcast dozens of tips came in. A number of men are also under criminal investigation. Some of them are still in custody on suspicion of aggravated assault. “It is by no means excluded that more local stadium bans will be imposed,” writes AZ.
West Ham United
Last week, AZ was eliminated in the Conference League semifinals by West Ham United. After the match, dozens of rioters sought confrontation with fans of the London club. In their box were also friends and family of players.
According to AZ, talks are also underway with the authorities about next Sunday’s match against PSV. “The starting point here is that the many thousands of well-intentioned AZ supporters should be able to experience an enjoyable match attendance.”
