Vinícius Júnior will not be suspended following his red card in last Sunday’s league match against Valencia CF. As a result, the Real Madrid striker can play as normal against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

Vinícius was racially scolded by the home team’s supporters during the Valencia match. In a riot in the closing stages, emotional Brazilian made a slapping move to wriggle free and for that he received a red from the referee.

However, the disciplinary committee of the Spanish Football Federation RFEF decided not to suspend the Brazilian.

Racism proven

The Spanish league’s commission considers racism at Mestalla stadium proven. Valencia must therefore keep part of the Mario Kempes south stand empty for the next five games. In addition, the club was fined 45,000 euros.
