Ajax finds new head scout at Manchester City

De Lang worked as a scout at Manchester City for the past six years and will head the scouting team in Amsterdam. The 42-year-old De Lang is the partner of former field hockey star Ellen Hoog.

Head scout Veldmate did not renew his expiring contract at Ajax because a process of change is underway at Ajax. He therefore felt it was a good time to return to Groningen.

With the appointment of De Lang, more and more positions at Ajax are being filled. Earlier, Sven Mislintat (director of soccer affairs) and Jan van Halst (soccer commissioner) were appointed.

Ajax is now still looking for a new head of youth training. Saïd Ouaali will leave the club after this season.
