Telstar has found a successor for outgoing general manager Pieter de Waard. Leon Annokkée will start in that role from July 1 at the first divisionist from Velsen.

The 49-year-old Annokkée has been chairman of second-divisionist FC Lisse since 2015. He also works as a finance specialist. “There are big shoes waiting for me to fill,” Annokkée said. “It’s clever how Pieter has put Telstar on the map in all these years.”

Vacancy posted online

Telstar is currently tenth in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. In the search for a new general manager, the club posted a vacancy online, among other things.

In February, Pieter de Waard was a guest on Studio Voetbal. In that broadcast, he talked, among other things, about his ambition to become president of the KNVB soccer association.
