‘End of season for AC Milan midfielder Bennacer’

AC Milan can no longer call on midfielder Ismaël Bennacer for the rest of the season, Italian media report.
The Algerian suffered a knee injury in Wednesday night’s Champions League game with Internazionale (0-2) and needs surgery.
Bennacer dropped out during the first semi-final between the Italian clubs after just over 15 minutes of play for AC Milan and was replaced by Junior Messias.
In the quarter-finals of the Champions League, the Algerian was still decisive with a goal in the home match against Napoli (1-0).
