Joe Biden’s eldest son on trial for underpaying child support to 4-year-old daughter he had with stripper

US President Joe Biden’s eldest son, Hunter, claims he has already paid $750,000 in child support to his baby and so now to reduce monthly payments.his lawyers disclosed in an Arkansas court on Monday. Biden Jr. appeared in person for the paternity suit hearing in Batesville amid his ongoing battle to reduce payments for the 4-year-old daughter he has with Lunden Roberts, 32 – a former stripper with whom he had a one-month affair.

His attorney, Abbe Lowell, argued that Hunter has been paying $20,000 a month to support little Navy Joan. since a paternity test revealed that he was the father. Lowell let slip that the figure had not been previously disclosed as attorneys for both sides argued about discovery during the two-hour hearing.

During the proceedings, the judge ordered Hunter to respond in writing to questions about his current finances.including investments, his art sales and other financial transactions. He will also have to give a deposition in mid-June to answer questions under oath, the judge said.

Hunter, dressed in a dark suit and tie, took notes and whispered briefly to his lawyers during the hearing, as The New York Post explains. Unlike Roberts, whose relatives crowded in line behind her, Hunter was flanked only by her lawyers. and two Secret Service agents.

Earlier, about a dozen law enforcement officers had remained in the parking lot of the Independence County courthouse as Hunter, dressed in a dark suit and tie, was led into the courthouse through a back entrance shortly before the 9 a.m. hearing began. A trial is scheduled to be held in July to determine whether the payments can be reduced Hunter’s child support payments.

A case that drags on for four years

The case has been ongoing since Roberts filed a paternity suit in Arkansas Circuit Court back in 2019 after Hunter denied being the father of the little girl, Navy Joan.. Subsequently, a DNA test confirmed that Hunter was the father and he agreed to begin paying monthly child support to Roberts.

Hunter has never met his daughter and has not publicly acknowledged her existence. The paternity case was reopened last September, when Hunter asked the court to recalculate his monthly payments due to an alleged “substantial material change” in his financial situation. It had previously been reported that he had agreed to a total payment of about $2.5 million to Navy.
