Twisted Metal, TV series comes to Italy on Sony Pictures Core only for PS Plus Premium subscribers

A year and a half after airing in the United States, Sony has announced that the TV series of Twisted Metal will also be available very soon in Italy and on a different streaming platform than the usual big names.

In fact, in a post on the PlayStation Blog, SIE revealed that Twisted Metal will arrive tomorrow, Tuesday, February 11, on Sony Pictures Core, an app available on PS5 and PS4, exclusively for PlayStation Plus Premium plan subscribers. This means that those who subscribe to other PS Plus plans will not be able to watch the TV series.

The Twisted Metal series, inspired by the video game of the same name, which this year celebrates the 30th anniversary of its debut on the first PlayStation console, is an action-comedy consisting of 10 episodes, lasting 30 minutes each, and tells the story of John Doe, a chatty courier tasked with delivering a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland in the United States of America.

During his journey, John Doe will face violent marauding gangs and destructive vehicles, encountering characters such as Quiet, a fugitive with a troubled past, and Sweet Tooth, a psychopathic clown. The cast features Anthony Mackie as the title character, wrestler Samoa Joe, and Will Arnett as the voice of Sweet Tooth.

At The Game Awards 2023, Sony had announced that it was working on a second season of Twisted Metal, but has since provided no further updates on the matter.
