Beyond: Two Souls will receive a TV series

We learn from a report in Deadline that Pageboy Productions, the production company of actor Elliot Page, has acquired the rights to produce a TV series of Beyond: Two Souls, Quantic Dream’s 2013 title.
The adaptation would be in an early stage of development and is expected to explore the nonlinear narrative of the game, which saw Page play the protagonist Jodie Holmes alongside Willem Dafoe. The series is expected to follow Jodie’s journey from government experiment to fugitive as she struggles with her abilities and her bond with Aiden.
“Being part of the game has been one of the most complex and satisfying experiences of my career,” Page said. “The rich and exciting storytelling provide us with a fantastic foundation to work from. We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that will appeal to fans and beyond.”
“This adaptation will honor the game while creating fresh perspectives,” added Pageboy’s Matt Jordan Smith. “Delving into survival issues and how split-second decisions can alter not only our lives, but the lives of others, are key to telling the story.”
“We are very excited to collaborate with Elliot Page again on this project,” concluded Quantic Dream’s David Cage. “I was amazed by his performance in the game and couldn’t think of anyone else being able to tell this story with the same passion. Beyond: Two Souls is a very special game for millions of players around the world who were moved by Jodie and Aiden’s story. I know Elliot has the talent to do something unique for TV.”
