The Last of Us TV series received three Golden Globe 2024 nominations

Just days after winning the award for Best Adaptation at The Game Awards 2023, the HBO TV series of The Last of Us received three Golden Globe 2024 nominations today.

The adaptation of Naughty Dog’s video game series, as announced this afternoon, can take home the awards for best drama series, best actor in a TV series (Pedro Pascal as Joel) and best actress in a TV series (Bella Ramsey as Ellie).

The Last of Us’ nomination for three Golden Globes is hardly surprising considering the success of the HBO series, which will also receive a second season in 2025. Production is scheduled to begin next year after strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA groups led HBO to halt work on this new season.

The winners of the 2024 Golden Globes will be announced at a ceremony beginning at 02:00 a.m. Italian time on Monday, January 8, 2024.
