Grégory Rabuel takes over as CEO of Groupe Barrière

The two young heirs to the Barrière group, Alexandre Barrière and Joy Desseigne-Barrière, have appointed Grégory Rabuel as their new CEO. Although Rabuel’s name had already been mentioned during the handover of power last January, it’s now official: the former CEO of SFR and Altice France is now at the helm of the company.

In fact, the former Chairman and CEO of SFR and Altice France, Grégory Rabuel, has been chosen to lead the group to new heights. In concrete terms, the core of his mission is to reinvigorate Barrière’s growth and develop and diversify its activities in France and the rest of the world.

Grégory Rabuel’s packed curriculum vitae

Prior to managing the Barrière Group, Grégory Rabuel was head of SFR and Altice France (until 2022). Aged 45, Grégory Rabuel is no stranger to the telecoms and media sector, having worked in it for some twenty years. His career began at Bouygues Telecom in 2000. At the time, he was a key account sales engineer. He then moved to Numericable, where he was in charge of B2B and B2C activities. Finally, following SFR’s takeover of Numericable in 2014, he was promoted to CEO of SFR Distribution.

Grégory Rabuel will have spent three years at the head of SFR. Appointed CEO in 2019, he will have helped the group achieve sales of 10.7 billion euros. In 2021, at the helm of Altice France, Grégory Rabuel will have directed media such as BFM TV and RMC.
