Borderlands movie to be released in 2024

Eight years after the project was announced, the Borderlands movie finally has a release date, although we will have to wait another year.
At the ongoing San Diego Comic Con these days, it was revealed that the Borderlands movie will be released in theaters, at least in American ones, awaiting a confirmation for Italy, on August 9, 2024, in just over a year’s time.
For the uninitiated, the live-action Borderlands film is directed by Eli Roth, known for the splatter horror films Cabin Fever and Hostel, and has a cast that includes names such as Kevin Hart, Cate Blanchett, Jack Black, and others. The cast is rounded out by actors such as Cheyenne Jackson, Janina Gavankar, Edgar Ramirez, Florian Munteanu, Bobby Lee, Haley Bennett, and Gina Gershon.
The film’s story centers on Lilith, played by Blanchett, who returns to Pandora to find Atlas’ (Edgar Ramirez) missing daughter. With a mysterious past and an attitude that could put fear into anyone, Lilith must team up with a band of misfits from the Gearbox franchise to undertake this mission and defeat some of the biggest villains she will encounter.
The Borderlands movie will be released on August 9, 2024.
