Among Us, an animated series is in the works at CBS Studios

From the pages of the well-known website Variety we learn that CBS Studios, in collaboration with Innersloth, is working on an animated series of the well-known multiplayer title Among Us.
According to the official description, the series is based on the game’s premise: “Some of your crew members have been replaced by a shape-shifting alien intent on creating confusion, sabotaging the ship and killing everyone. Eliminate the Imposter or you will be victims of his murderous plans.”
Owen Dennis will be the project’s director and executive producer, while the series will be produced by Titmouse, an animation studio known for Big Mouth. In addition to Dennis, Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander and Carl Neisser of Innersloth will serve as executive producers along with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina of Titmouse. It is currently unclear where the series will be broadcast, as it does not even have a tentative release date.
Among Us was released on mobile and PC in 2018, but surged in popularity in 2020. In October of that year, it was #1 on Google Play Store in 66 countries and in the top 100 in all but two countries. In the fourth quarter of 2020, the game had nearly 500 million monthly active users, more than 4 billion views on YouTube, and more than 1.22 billion views on Twitch.
