Russia calls drastic increase of trans teens in U.S. “pure Satanism
The speaker of Russia’s Duma, or chamber of deputies, Vyacheslav Volodin, on Wednesday branded as “pure Satanism.” the dramatic increase in the number of transsexuals among American teenagers.
“We don’t want that in our country. Let them apply that diabolical policy in the US. We will see how it ends. It will bring nothing good. Pure Satanism,” Volodin said during the plenary session of the lower house of the Russian Parliament.
He criticized the fact that in the US the number of transgender teenagers “is already three times higher than among the adult population.” “That is result of propaganda. The number of children receiving hormone therapy has more than doubled in the last five years,” he said.
Volodin made these remarks during the session at which the Duma passed in first reading a law that would bans surgical operations of sex change, a project that has caused great alarm among the transsexual community.
“And the person wakes up in the morning and Decides he is no longer a man, but a woman, or a woman and not a man. He goes to a private clinic, receives a certificate and goes to the civil registry, to the department of identity documents to change his last name, first name and patronymic,” he pointed out. Sex change
The bill was referred to the lower house by 400 deputies – out of a total of 450 in the lower house – from all five parties with parliamentary representation, including the Kremlin’s United Russia party. The law also proposes ban sex change on identity cards and other official certificates without surgical operation.
Between 2018 and last year, more than 2,700 Russians changed their sex in their documents, which led to almost 200 marriages. In turn, Deputy Health Minister Oleg Salagai on Wednesday estimated at 996 the number of applications for change of sex in 2022 and promised that transsexuals will continue to receive medical assistance.
