Mass shooting leaves at least nine people wounded in Denver

At least nine people have been injured in a mass shooting that occurred in the town of Denver (Colorado, USA), reports the city’s Police Department.
The event occurred during 00.30 a.m. Tuesday at 2000 Market Street, approximately one kilometer from the Ball Arena, after the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat and thus won their first championship ring NBA.
Of the nine people who were hit by bullets, three had to be taken to hospital in critical condition and the rest have minor injuries, officers said in a report.

Due to the disputed sporting event, at the site of the shooting. there was a small crowdwhich had “thinned out quite a bit by that time,” the statement added. According to the police spokesman, the shooting occurred in a place “where many people could have left the bars after the final buzzer”.
