Tottenham appoint Postecoglou as new coach, after dropping out Nagelsmann and Slot

NOS Football–
After the resignations of Julian Nagelsmann and Arne Slot, Tottenham Hotspur finally has a new coach: Australian Angelos Postecoglou.
He comes over from Celtic, where he was at the helm for two seasons, and is the successor to Ryan Mason, the Spurs’ third coach last season.
The 57-year-old Postecoglou, who also holds a Greek passport, worked mostly at home. Among other things, he was Australia’s national coach for four years and in that capacity reached the 2014 World Cup in Brazil (last in the group with the Netherlands) and won the Asia Cup in 2015.
Postecoglou settled in Glasgow in the summer of 2021 and captured two Scottish titles with Celtic. He also picked up three cups with the club.
Champions League finalist of 2019
Tottenham, the 2019 Champions League finalist, finished disappointingly eighth in the Premier League this season. The Spurs were also unable to break even in the two cup tournaments, and in the Champions League, the eighth finals were the end station.
Under contract at Tottenham is Dutchman Arnaut Danjuma.
