A father’s gesture in support of his daughter with advanced cancer thrills the networks

D’Andray Thomas is a father from Tennessee (USA) whose daughter Brielle, “Bri Bri”, is struggling with a stage 4 nasopharyngeal cancer. This man made a gesture that has gone viral all over the net. It is an attitude of love and empathy with his little girl. As he did not want her to feel alone when he shaved his head., this one also shaved his dreadlocks after nine years of growth.

Brielle Thomas, or “Bri Bri,” -as her father affectionately likes to call her-, was diagnosed with stage 4 nasopharyngeal carcinoma at the end of February of this year.

Because of chemotherapy treatments, lost her hair in clumps and soon cut it off completely.and so his father decided to follow his example.

Little 9-year-old Brielle says she tries to “stay strong and not give up.” in the face of the process and her remaining chemotherapy sessions, as picked up by WTVC, the local television station in Chattanooga, Tennessee. “That’s basically how I get through it,” he sentences.

Thus in the video posted on Facebook, the progenitor chose to emulate her and shave his head, a diffusion that has gone viral. “Whatever you’re going through, we’ll go through it together always. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for mine. I love you, BriBri,” D’Andray expressed.

It’s not the first act of such paternal solidarity to spread through the networks, in 2022 a man in Mexico stopped paying for his cancer treatment to pay for his daughter’s treatment with the same disease.
