Wout Brama will stop playing soccer after this season. The midfielder can make minutes for the last time in the Eredivisie on Sunday against Ajax, after which he will take part in the playoffs for European soccer with FC Twente.

The 36-year-old Brama played most of his career for Twente, with whom he became champion in 2010 and won the cup a year later. In his best years, he also played three times for the Dutch national team.

No player came into action for Twente more often this century than Brama (279 duels), who also briefly played for PEC Zwolle, FC Utrecht and Central Coast Mariners.

Injuries

In recent seasons, Brama struggled with many injuries. This season he made only ten appearances in the league, ten times as a substitute.
