Five Nights at Freddy’s, first teaser trailer and movie poster released

Blumhouse has released in recent hours the first teaser trailer and poster for the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie., a live-action adaptation of the video game of the same name created by the well-known Scott Cawthon.
The just under a minute-long video, which can be seen at the bottom of the news, shows the animatronics in action and the desperate attempt of security guard Mike Schmidt (played by Josh Hutcherson) and the other guests of the cursed restaurant to survive the night. The cast includes names such as Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, Mary Stuart Masterson, Kat Conner Sterling, Jess Weiss, Grant Feely and many more.

The film is directed by Emma Tammi, director of the horror film The Wind, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Seth Cuddeback and Cawthon. In addition, the film is produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon. Serving as executive producers are Russell Binder, Beatriz Sequeira and Christopher H. Warner.
Five Nights at Freddy’s will be released in U.S. theaters on Oct. 27.
