Technical boss Streuer stays longer at Twente at request of successor Bruggink

Jan Streuer will stay with FC Twente longer than planned. The current technical director of the club from Enschede was to step down after this season, but will now stay at least until September 1 to induct his successor Arnold Bruggink.
Former player Bruggink, who officially starts his new job on July 1, has indicated that he would like to see Streuer stay with the club until the end of the summer transfer period.
“Arnold and I have been working very pleasantly together from his first day on the job, we have a good click. There is a lot going on at the club: especially when it comes to transfers, it is and remains a busy time. I am happy to – at least until the close of the transfer window on September 1 – continue to dedicate myself to FC Twente,” Streuer reports.
Three seasons in service
The 72-year-old Streuer joined FC Twente as technical boss in the summer of 2020. With coach Ron Jans, who will be succeeded by Joseph Oosting next summer, the Tukkers finished fourth in the premier league last season. This season the club is fifth and participation in the playoffs for European soccer probably awaits.
