Twisted Metal, here is the first teaser trailer of the Peacock TV series

After releasing the first poster yesterday, Peacock today released the first official teaser trailer of the TV series of Twisted Metal produced by Sony. The short clip, which can be seen at the bottom of the news, does not reveal much, but there is a glimpse of a very creepy Sweet Tooth clown, as well as what would appear to be a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas.
“Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action television series based on the classic PlayStation video game series, is a high-strung action comedy based on an original idea by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith,” reads the series description included in the trailer.
“The series is about a loud-mouthed outsider who has a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of an axe-wielding car thief, he will face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown driving an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.”
The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions and is the second TV adaptation of a first-party PlayStation game to arrive this year after The Last of Us. Twisted Metal will be available on Peacock from July 27.
