The Witcher, official teaser trailer for Season 3: will be divided into two parts

As promised yesterday, Netflix released this afternoon the official teaser trailer for the third season of the TV series of The Witcher.

Video of Henry Cavill’s final season as Geralt of Rivia reveals that the third season will be divided into two parts: the first will debut on June 29, while the second will be released on Netflix on July 27. This footage, which can be seen at the bottom of the news story, offers only brief glimpses of each character and gives us no indication of what will happen: however, we can clearly see Yen, Ciri, and Geralt, with the latter talking about an encounter with a monster that marked the first time he truly felt fear.

From The Hollywood Reporter we then learn the plot of Season 3, which we quote below: “As the monarchs, wizards and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri (Freya Allan) into hiding, determined to protect his newly reunited family against those who threaten to destroy them. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to discover more about the girl’s unexpressed powers; instead, they find they have ended up in a battleground of political corruption, dark magic and betrayal. They must fight back, put everything on the line or risk losing themselves forever.”

The Witcher 3 will start on Netflix on June 29.
