Two teenagers arrested after shooting at birthday party in the U.S.

Two teenagers have been arrested following last Saturday’s shooting at a teenager’s birthday party in Alabama (southeastern U.S.), which left four dead and more than thirty injured.
At a press conference, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) spokesman Jeremy Burkett announced. the arrests of Ty Reik McCullough and Travis McCullough, ages 17 and 16 respectively.which took place Tuesday afternoon. Both face four counts of reckless homicide.
The teens will have bail hearings within 72 hours of their arrests and eThe state will request that their detention be continued without bail.The district attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Alabama, Mike Segrest, said.

The authorities have not commented on the place of arrest nor on the motive that the detainees may have had to carry out the assault.
Through a message on the social network Twitter, the Republican governor of Alabama, Kay Ivey, has celebrated. the “great progress made by law enforcement.” and defended that “the work is not finished”, and offered its support to the ALEA for “ensure that all those responsible for this tragedy are held accountable.”
The shooting occurred at a birthday party
The shooting occurred at around 22.34 on Saturday at the Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio in Dadeville, a small town in Tallapoosa County, on the same day that at least two people were killed and four wounded by gunfire in a park in Louisville, Kentucky.
The fatalities were identified by authorities as Shaunkivia Nicole “Keke” Smith, 17; Philstavious Dowdell, 18; Marsiah Emmanuel Collins, 19; and Corbin Dahmontrey Holston, 23.
U.S. has suffered at least 162 mass shootings in the first 15 weeks of 2023according to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines mass shootings as those in which four or more people are killed, not including the perpetrator of the attack.
